NEU

Since 2021, the Springschool has been a recurring format in the Mansfeld region with students from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle. It kicked off in 2021 with discussions with residents of a street in Hettstedt under the title Molmecker. In 2022, entrepreneurs from the region were interviewed on the topic of Aufbruch (new beginnings).

The third Springschool once again uses landscape communication methods to engage in conversation with young people and young adults from the region under the title NEU (NEW). Text and photography are used as tools.

On Saturday, April 1, at 11 a.m., the results of the Springschool will be presented to the public at Kurt's Garage (Alter König, Molmecker Str. 86, 06333 Hettstedt) and a print publication will be available.

The participants' research is supervised by Lars Fischer, Institute for Landscape Communication Eberswalde, and accompanied and supported by Jonathan Everts (Human Geography, Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg) and Stephanie Kiwitt (Photography/Communication Design Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle).

The spring school is co-initiated by Werkleitz. The administrative department “Structural Change in the Central German Mining Region” supports the project.
