Delete Beach

In this anime film a young woman at an unspecified time in the future is active in an anti-capitalist resistance movement. The organization uses petroleum as a weapon, as its members inject and inhale the substance in order to become addicted to it. They see this waste of the limited raw material as a form of rebellion, as a result of which their bodies gradually turn into oil. To finally convert themselves to a tool and raw material they cast themselves into the sea with the goal of literally inscribing their bodies into the circulation of production and (future) resistance.
