Radio-Feature-Workshop zu .move ON

Accompanying the Werkleitz festival .move ON, this year we will offer an opportunity to create your own audio art. The radio feature is an art form that usually tackles topical themes. Accordingly, you can select your own topics relating to the festival, but also to the history of the venue or sidetracks inspired by the artworks realized for .move ON – most of the commissioned works this year exploring current technologies and their social relevance from a media-analytical point of view, reflecting on virtual reality and fiction as well as the change in narrative structures required by the new audiovisual media. Themes include Afrofuturism, asylum policies, life in the metropolis, scenes from an alternative future and soap bubbles.

The festival and workshop take place in the former printing house at the entrance of Leipziger Straße 61–62, right around Riebeckplatz. The workshop starts shortly before the opening of the festival on Friday, 9 October, 16:00, and lasts until the following Tuesday, unless your own work requires a longer tinkering time. The workshop is full-time, participants can follow personal hours. Previous knowledge is not required, participation is free. Finished radio features will be presented as part of the festival and broadcast by Radio Corax.
