The Cleaning Unit

Since 2002, a tradition of graffiti train-writing videos has developed, made by the practitioners themselves to parody the genre and their own work. Beginning with Invisible Wholecar, Kopenhagen 2002, Magic Colorz, Berlin 2005, Style Wash, Leipzig 2007, to this film, Cleaning Unit from Stockholm 2009. Only the gestures of writing themselves are filmed without using paint. Or alternately the graffiti is cleaned up, but naturally by a guerrilla cleaning unit. And so the film programme ends the same way as the ephemeral art it depicts, leaving no trace; everything is immaculate and clean. Finito. The end.
