Colloquium 1,2,3 Logistics
Logistics is everywhere. Yet what are the actual principles and procedures of logistics? Who is pulling the strings behind the scenes? What are their projects and ideas? What more optimistic visions and which unsettling future prospects are associated with these plans?
To answer these questions Werkleitz will be inviting experts from the fields of economics, science and culture to the new logistics centre of the Finsterwalder Transport und Logistik company in Halle. There they will engage in dialogue with the audience and combine various individual points of view into a multi-dimensional overall perspective.
It will be demonstrated and discussed what is already possible in the realm of logistics and what is conceivable in the future; which languages and terminology the different players utilize; and to what extent the audience itself has long since assumed the role of an evaluative agent within logistic chains as consumers, receivers and orderers. The colloquium asks where our current logistical system might be leading us, examining viabilities and eventualities and pondering opportunities and dangers, desires and fears. Sceptical critics will meet head on with advocates, established companies with start-ups, proven business models with daring visions.
Trade show and assembly
In the first part logistic practitioners and theoreticians will present their projects, ideas and fields of study in three 25-minute blocks. Visitors will have the opportunity to move between presentations and construct their own associations and links. After a short break, in the second part of the colloquium logistical actors and visitors will engage in a dialogue. In three moderated discussions they will follow the traces and structures of logistics from the global to the individual and talk about how logistics has shaped our present world and what the future may bring.
